ASIC Financial Advisers Register API

What it does

ASIC's Financial Advisers Register is the authoritative source for adviser licence status in Australia. It is publicly searchable at ASIC's website — but integrating it into your own application, compliance workflow, or onboarding system requires a different approach.

This API gives you programmatic access to the same register. Search by name, ADV number, or AFSL number. Get back authorisation status, licence hierarchy, qualifications, CPD failure years, and a KYC risk signal — in a single JSON response you can act on in code.

The register covers 88,000+ current and former advisers and is refreshed weekly to match ASIC's own publication schedule.

You can also look up directly by ADV number (GET /v1/au/advisers/{adv_number}) or by AFSL licence number (GET /v1/au/advisers/licence/{licence_number}) to return all advisers authorised under that licence.
